Introduction:
Dr Miao's main research interests include "Screen for the bioactive strains from marine microbes, including quorum sensing inhibiting, antibacterial, antifungal, antitumor, antilarval activities", "Isolation, purification and identification of bioactive compounds from microbial extracts", and "Isolation, cultivation and identification of microorganisms from marine samples.
Dr Miao's has been in charged and completed 1 National Natural Science Fund project, 1 provincial and ministerial project, 7 municipal and department level projects, and participated in more than 10 other projects. She has published more than 30 papers, including 16 SCI papers, and also obtained 1 authorized national invention patent.
