Introduction:

Xiaojian Zhou, Ph.D. & Professor, is the director of the Marine Science Department. His research interests are mainly environmental biology. As one of the main participants, Professor Zhou won Chinese Patent Award of Excellence, the First Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress of Liaoning Province, and the Third Prize of Technological Invention of Liaoning Province. And he was selected as a member of Thousand-level Talent Support Program of Liaoning Province. Professor Zhou published more than 100 articles including 40 SCI indexed ones and more than 10 international and national patents. He was PI for 3 projects supported by the Natural Science Foundation of China, a key project supported by the Science and Technology Foundation of the Chinese Ministry of Education, a number of provincial and ministerial projects, and many enterprise-funded research projects. Professor Zhou also participated in many other national scientific research projects such as those supported by National Technology Support Programs, the key project of the Natural Science Foundation of China, and so on. He is an editor or reviewer of many international academic journals, a visiting professor of Kobe University of Japan, a member of many professional associations, and a scientific and technological expert of the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, the Chinese Ministry of Education, and a number of provincial governments or industrial associations.

Postdoctoral visiting scholar in the Department of Biology, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, November of 2006.11- October of 2008.

Ph.D. student in the direction of Environmental Biochemistry, the Natural Science Research Department, Kobe University, Japan, October of 2003-September of 2006.

Master student majored in Environmental Science, the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Dalian Maritime University, September of 1997- June of 2000.

Bachelor student majored in Environmental Ecology, the College of Marine Life Science, Ocean University of China, September of 1993-July of 1997.
