Introduction:

Xiaoqing Qian is a Professor and a PhD supervisor at School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Yangzhou University. He is mainly engaged in teaching, scientific research and consulting services of theory, technology, products and engineering in the fields of natural resource utilization and ecological environment protection, soil diagnosis and evaluation, soil improvement and restoration, etc. He has hosted more than 60 scientific research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation, key research projects of the National Key Research and Development Plan, and the Jiangsu Natural Science Foundation. He has published more than 130 scientific papers, obtained 8 authorized national invention patents, and won more than 20 prizes including the second prize of the National Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fishery Harvest Award, the second prize of the Jiangsu Science and Technology Progress Award, the second prize of the Jiangsu Agricultural Technology Promotion Award, and the second prize of the Jiangsu Excellent Teaching Achievement Award. He is also a post expert of the soil improvement innovation team of Jiangsu Modern Agriculture (watermelon and melon) Industry Technology System, chairman of the board of supervisors of Jiangsu Watermelon and Melon Association, member of the board of Jiangsu Soil Society and Jiangsu Soil Testing and Formula Fertilization Association, expert in consulting team of Jiangsu rural science and technology service supermarket, expert of Jiangsu Green and High Quality Agricultural Product Base Validation Committee, member of Jiangsu Fertilizer Registration Evaluation Expert Committee, member of Jiangsu Facility Vegetable Green Development Industry Technical Expert Guidance Group, member of Jiangsu Watermelon and Melon Industry Technology Collaborative Promotion Expert Group, etc. He guided the establishment of the "Soil Hospital" of Yangzhou University and actively served "Agriculture, Countryside and Farmers". The "Soil Hospital" was awarded the 9th national "Mother River Award"-Green Project Award.

Education:

September 1979 to July 1983, majored in soil and agricultural chemistry and obtained a bachelor's degree in agriculture from the Department of Agronomy of Jiangsu Agricultural University.

September 1999 to December 2002, Nanjing Agricultural University, School of Resources and Environment, majoring in plant nutrition, received a doctorate.

July 2007-December 2007 Visiting Scholar, Institute of Plant Nutrition, University of Justus von Liebig, Germany.
