Undergraduate training program

Training standards

Mainly cultivate students' working ability in the fields of scientific research of water supply and drainage, water supply and drainage engineering design, construction, operation management, etc. Graduates should have the knowledge and ability in the following aspects:

(1) Master mathematics, natural science, engineering foundation and professional knowledge of water supply and drainage, and be used to solve complex engineering problems of water supply and drainage.

(2) The basic principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering science can be applied to identify, express, and analyze complex engineering problems in water supply and drainage through literature research to obtain effective conclusions.

(3) Able to design solutions to complex water supply and drainage engineering problems, design water supply and drainage systems, units or technological processes that meet specific needs, and be able to embody innovation consciousness in the design process, considering society, health, safety, law, culture and Environmental and other factors.

(4) Based on scientific principles and scientific methods to study complex engineering problems of water supply and drainage, including designing experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, and obtaining reasonable and effective conclusions through information synthesis.

(5) Able to develop, select and use appropriate technologies, resources, modern engineering tools and information technology tools for complex water supply and drainage engineering problems, including prediction and simulation of complex water supply and drainage engineering problems, and understand their limitations.

(6) Be able to conduct reasonable analysis based on engineering-related background knowledge, evaluate the impact of water supply and drainage professional engineering practice and complex engineering problem solutions on society, health, safety, law and culture, and understand the responsibilities that should be assumed.

(7) To be able to understand and evaluate the impact of engineering practices on complex engineering issues of water supply and drainage on environmental and social sustainable development.

(8) With humanities and social sciences literacy and sense of social responsibility, able to understand and abide by engineering professional ethics and standards in engineering practice and perform responsibilities.

(9) Ability to assume the roles of individual, team member and person in charge in a team with a multidisciplinary background.

(10) To be able to effectively communicate and communicate with industry peers and the public on complex water supply and drainage engineering issues, including writing reports and design manuscripts, presenting statements, and expressing or responding to instructions. And have a certain international vision, able to communicate and exchange in a cross-cultural background.

(11) Understand and master engineering management principles and economic decision-making methods, and can be applied in a multi-disciplinary environment.
