Undergraduate training program

Educational Objectives

This major aims to cultivate professional personnel who will obtain good ideological qualities, humanities and social literacies, professional ethics and psychological qualities, have sustainable development awareness, master basic knowledge such as environmental quality analyses, evaluation and protection, and can adapt to scientific research and teaching in areas of resource management and development, safety inspection of agricultural products, pollution restoration, ecological agriculture and other aspects as required by enterprises and institutions related to agricultural resources development and environmental protection.

Training standards

Graduates of this major should master the basic theories and skills in resource management, development and sustainable use, including the knowledge of land resource development and protection, nutrient resource development and utilization, biological resources and ecological environmental protection, and have the ability to analyse related environmental problems caused by improper resource use, and be trained basically in application skills such as environmental quality analysis, environmental monitoring and evaluation etc., and have the ability to engage in resource management and development and utilization, safety inspection of agricultural products, pollution remediation, ecological agriculture, etc.

Graduates should acquire the following knowledge and abilities:

1). Possess solid theoretical knowledge of mathematics, chemistry and biology;

2). Master the basic theories and methods of resource and environmental science;

3). Master the basic knowledge of management and utilization of agricultural resources and related environmental protection;

4). Master methods and technologies related to the development and management of land resources, nutrient resources, biological resources, and related environmental analysis, evaluation, and protection;

5). Have the consciousness and basic knowledge of sustainable use and protection of resources and environment, and understand the frontiers and development trends of resources and environment discipline

6). Understand the national policies, guidelines and regulations concerning resource development management and related environmental protection;

7). Master the basic methods of document retrieval and data query;

8). Strong ability in investigation and decision-making, organization and management, oral and written expression, and the basic ability to independently acquire knowledge, information processing and innovation.

Botany, Soil Science, Soil Agrochemical Analyses, Plant Nutrition, Fertilizer Resource: development and utilization, Environmental Microbiology, Microbial Resource: development and utilization, Environmental Science, Environmental Chemistry.
